3 Fashion Trends I Can’t Make Up My Mind About
Every year after fashion month ends and runway reports begin to pop up everywhere, there are always a few trends that seem a bit odd (and sometimes just downright absurd!).
Fashion houses will do just about anything to get heads turning and influencers buzzing about their latest collections.
While I love taking a good fashion risk every now and again, sometimes runway trends can be too much for the real world.
Below are 3 trends for Fall 2018 that I can’t quite seem to make up my mind about.
1. 80’s Influence
This year, designers got in their time machines and traveled all the way back to the 1980’s. Yup, you heard me right! Shoulder pads are back! Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, and many more showed big shoulders, bright colors and oversized 80’s inspired looks at their runway shows this past month. While this trend isn’t quite as outrageous as some of the others, I’m still not sure that I’m ready to go all out Madonna this fall.
2. Colored Tights
When I was about 13 years old, I owned a pair of bright purple tights that I absolutely loved! Fast-forward many years later, my childhood fashion statement is making a comeback, seen at shows like Dolce & Gabbana and Jeremy Scott. I can’t decide whether this trend is too juvenile or the perfect way to add some fun back into my wardrobe.
3. The Balaclava
Finally, the craziest of them all: the Balaclava. This one has stumped me the most. While I thought that ski masks were meant for the slopes, Gucci, Versace and Chanel felt that they now belong on the runway.
As I decide whether or not to try some of these bizarre fall fashion trends, I know that I can always rely on the YUMEHUB app to give me instant and honest advice on all of my looks. The app is free, easy, and so fun to use!
